Education will be the key to creating new ideas,
perspectives, and visions lasting the 21st
century.
Education varies but has a common goal!
As experienced in the practice teaching time given and the interaction with the different professors, I discovered that the curriculum, standards, and perspectives in education varies per country. But among these differences, is the goal to produce holistic individuals equipped with skills to make the world a better place.
1st weekDiscover
This week has been dedicated to be familiar with the people and tradition of the school. In this week, I discovered that the students in this country is trained to love their nation, be respectful to their elders, and most importantly, put Allah (God) in everything that they do. The students' diligence for education and the way the treat their teachers is one thing that struck me within the week.

2nd weekPre-Teaching
This week has been focused on lesson planning and putting things in order. The lesson planning method in the school I'm assigned into is very detailed! With that, I am so jaded during my teaching demo because I need to follow what is on the lesson plan. Also, I discovered in this week that their English curriculum does not really focus on developing advanced skills in English, just simply the fundamentals. The way their curriculum is arranged is skill by skill and integration of these skills are allowed but not much applied.

3rd weekExecution
Implementing the lesson is far from planning it. This has been my reality during the teaching demonstration. As a teacher, I always allow myself to be guided but spontaneous in class knowing that different class and class time affects the students' behavior and to the extent, their motivation for learning. Such spontaneity is not that applicable in my school assigned because we have to meet the things written in the Lesson Plan. Nevertheless, I always take the risk making sure that the learners are engaged rather than passive during the teaching-learning process.

Thoughts to End:
ADMIRE. There is no one that I admire more in this program than their very own principal! Seeing the principal and his efforts to interact with the students, engage with the teachers, and to the extent of taking care of the school he is working on. He arrives earlier than most people, and he makes sure that the students are disciplined. Talk about an ideal principal in action! I hope I get to adopt to his qualities as a leader and as an educator. Personally, I see his as one of the best principals I have ever engaged with.
REMEMBER. All those excursions and engagements I had during the entire program is one way to remember this country. This trip has been made memorable by the people I meet every single day.
TEACH. The main purpose of this trip. Teaching in other countries can open horizons to teaching especially understanding culture. Adapting to UNESCO's pillars of learning, this experience is a manifestation of such.
A.R.T. The art of teaching: Everyone knows how to teach but do they know the art to teach?
